Paris (7-2 overall, 5-2 in conference) has been one of the better teams in the area this season, and the Tigers get a chance to add to that mark Saturday when they host Eureka. Paris has won five of seven in conference play, and a win here would keep them rolling into the final stretch. Eureka is not a conference school, and no record is on file for the Hornets' season, so this one is hard to peg ahead of kickoff. There is no previous meeting between these two on record.

Three other games round out the week, all set for Saturday, October 24, and all non-conference matchups against schools with no record on file. Casey-Westfield (3-6 overall, 2-5 in conference) travels to Astoria looking to pick up a win down the stretch after a rough conference slate. Marshall (3-6 overall, 2-5 in conference) heads to Moweaqua to take on Central A & M, another game where the Falcons will try to close the season on a better note. And Robinson (4-5 overall, 3-4 in conference) goes on the road to Tolono to face Unity, with the Maroons sitting right at .500 in conference play. None of these three games have a previous meeting on file, so each program will be writing the first chapter of a new series.

Newton (30-3 overall, 6-0 in conference) keeps rolling through its best season in years, and Monday brings a familiar test. Windsor Stewardson Strasburg visits Newton High School at 5:00 PM with the series tied 3-3 over six meetings on file, and last year's trip ended in a 2-1 win for the visitors. Newton's unbeaten conference mark says plenty about how tight that group has played.

Marshall (19-7 overall, 5-1 in conference) takes its conference success on the road to Tuscola, leading that series 4-1 over five meetings and coming off a 2-0 win in last year's meeting. Mt. Carmel (6-18 overall, 1-6 in conference) heads to Wayne City looking to turn its season around; the Lady Aces hold a 5-1 series edge in meetings on file. Casey-Westfield (14-11 overall, 3-3 in conference) hosts Oblong, trailing that series 6-2, after dropping last year's match 2-0.

Robinson (13-15 overall, 1-6 in conference) has struggled in conference play and travels to Fairfield, which has swept all eight meetings on file. Paris (25-7 overall, 3-3 in conference) hosts Neoga, leading that series 9-3 and fresh off a 2-0 win over Neoga earlier this month. Olney (11-17 overall, 1-5 in conference) closes the night at St. Anthony, which has won four of five meetings on record, including last year's 2-0 decision.
