Little Illini Conference volleyball teams are not wasting any time getting the 2025 campaign started. Five teams make their debut on Monday, Aug. 25, the first day of the season in Illinois.
Here’s the lineup for Day One (All times CST):
Mt. Carmel at Carmi, 5:00 p.m.
Teutopolis at Casey-Westfield, 6:00 p.m.
Lawrenceville at Red Hill, 6:00 p.m.
Olney at Fairfield, 6:00 p.m.
Paris at Heritage, 6:00 p.m.
There are six more games on tap for Tuesday, Aug. 26, including openers for Marshall (at Chrisman) and Robinson (at North Clay).
League kingpin Newton opens on Thursday, Aug. 28 at Effingham. The Eagles were undefeated LIC champs last year, their eighth league title (won or shared) in the last nine years. Last year, Newton was 32-7 overall, advancing to the Class 2A Sectional finals.
