Five of the six Little Illini Conference girls tennis teams played in weekend tournaments. Casey-Westfield, Newton, Olney and Robinson were in the field for the Mattoon Invitational, while Mt. Carmel was engaged in a tourney in Herrin.

In the days since our last update on Sept., 3, LIC teams have squared off in dual meets. Duals don’t count towards a title. The league does sponsor a championship tournament, however.
