(ROBINSON) — The field is set for the 2025 Little Illini Conference girls tennis championship tournament to be played in Robinson on Friday.
There are 12 entries in both singles and doubles, two from each of the six tennis-playing LIC schools. A seed meeting was held on Wednesday, and the top four seeds receive automatic byes in the first round of the tournament. The top six receive automatic placement in the brackets. Unseeded players are then assigned to the bracket by a blind draw.
Of the top 12 seeds, Paris received the most, with four (two singles, two doubles). Casey-Westfield claimed three of the top seeds, followed by Olney with two. Mt. Carmel, Newton and Robinson each received one.
Olney won the team championship last year, ending a two-year run by Robinson.
