(BLOOMINGTON) — The Illinois High School Association has released pairings for this weekend’s state girls tennis tournament.

The three-class tourney, to be played on 16 Chicagoland courts, begins on Thursday. All eight Little Illini Conference qualifiers will play in the Class 1A tournament.

Advancing to state in singles play are:
Jailyn Hall of Newton
Paedyn Keys of Paris
Daisy Mumford of Casey-Westfield
Olivia Sornberger of Newton

Advancing to state in doubles play are:
Ava Giese (Sr.), & Alivia Peach (So.) of Mt. Carmel
Bella Moreschi (Sr.), & Myah Bartos (Sr.) of Paris

In singles play, Mumford faces perhaps the toughest first-round challenge. She is matched against the No. 4 seed, Nicola Kupczyk of Chicago Latin. In doubles play, the Pairs tandem of Moreschi and Bartos also faces a seeded opponent,  No. 7 Kennedi Taylor and Natalie Beck of Father McGivney.

A total of 16 singles and doubles entries received seeds.
