The Little Illini Conference has been rewarded for an outstanding softball season with three No. 1 seeds entering IHSA state tournament play, which begins on Monday at Regional sites all across the state.

Casey-Westfield, Marshall, and Mt. Carmel were accorded top seeds in earlier voting by coaches. Robinson was seeded second as well. This after an outstanding 121-43 (.738) collective non-conference campaign by LIC teams. All three of the top seeds were also ranked in the Top 20 by the Illinois Coaches Association: Casey-Westfield (No. 1 in Class 1A), Marshall (11th in 2A), and Mt. Carmel (13th in 2A). Robinson also received votes in the most recent ICA 2A poll.

Seven of the right LIC teams finished with records at or above the .500 mark.
