(ROBINSON) –– Since 1986, the Little Illini Conference has awarded thousands of dollars worth of scholarships to deserving students. Proceeds from the Annual LIC Basketball Tournament are used to support these scholarships. The scholarship may be used to pay for tuition, books, supplies or additional appropriate college expenses.

The criteria used in the selection process of these scholarship recipients are as follows: Each applicant must:
● Be a Senior in High School
● Complete at least two Conference Sports / Activities during each of their Junior and Senior years
● Maintain a GPA of at least a 4.25 / 5.0 or 3.4/4.0 or equivalent
● Submit an original essay of 300 words (Scored by College Composition Professors)
Six scholarship awards were presented during the conference tournament. The Principal of the school represented by each of the six recipients made the presentation to their respective students.
