Olney’s Rex Hallam named All-American in Track
OLNEY — Olney multi-sport athlete, Rex Hallam, has achieved the status of All-American through his efforts in the Long Jump on MileSplit’s Year-End Honors List.
Hallam’s best leap of 24’7” landed him in the Top 25 in the country to close out the season, and it was the third best jump in all of Illinois for 2025. Rex jumped over 24 feet multiple times, something you rarely see in Illinois. The colder temperatures during track season in Illinois make elite times and distances much tougher to hit than warmer states like Texas and Florida.
Rex is gearing up to continue his career at NCAA Division I school Illinois State University next year.
